Philly food and wine fest to showcase citys culinary side

Food trucks give chefs and other food service professionals a chance to showcase their talents to the public, and a Philly festival will feature a wide selection of these mobile eateries.

Foodies who include the Food Truck fest in their plans for this April will be able to enjoy a variety of fare, and along with other perks, each ticket will entitle the holder to samplings of an assortment of wines, ciders and spirits crafted in Philadelphia and wider Pennsylvania. Each pour will be up to one ounce, and souvenir tasting glasses that boast a special graphic design will also be distributed to the attendees.

The guests at the celebration will be able to buy bottles of any of the beverages they find especially pleasing, and the food trucks will be serving up a wide selection of dishes. Vendors offering other products will also be on site, and a roster of performers will keep the crowd entertained.

A chance for members of the public to catch up with old friends after a long winter, tickets for the The Wilkes-Barre Wine Shine and Food Truck Fest are available now at a price of $5 each. Taking place on April 14 at The Woodlands Inn, the doors will open at 12:00 pm, and the fun will keep on going until 4:00 pm.
