Philadelphia families looking for a way to pay tribute to Mom will have something to add to their diary in May.
Fairmount Park is set to serve as the venue for a morning that will give mothers and their families a chance to relax and unwind in the serenity of nature. Hikers of all abilities are welcome to register for the excursion, and the organizers explained that it will offer a fun way to discover the joys of exploring the forest trails.
The outing is described as being suitable for beginners, and everyone is asked to dress in layers and wear suitable footwear. They should also bring light snacks and water, and a first aid kit, compass, sunglasses, and bug spray are all also highly recommended. The route is 2.5 miles long, and kids are welcome to join the fun.
Even though a hike like this may be designed to be easy, the participants may still appreciate receiving a route map they can keep as a souvenir of the day. Print shops will be able to offer items like these, along with any others the organizers feel would be helpful to them.
This Mother’s Day themed outing has been scheduled for the morning of May 8. The gathering point for the excursion will be at the Forbidden Driver Upper Parking Lot.
