Philly asked to show local creek some love

A Philadelphia creek is in need of some TLC, and an event has been planned that will see the community roll up their sleeves and pitch in.

Cobbs Creek will be the location for a community cleanup project that will give stakeholders an opportunity to show some love to this local recreation area. All ages can lend a hand, and it can be a way to introduce kids to environmental stewardship and how everyone has a role to play when it comes to protecting the natural environment.

The volunteers will be removing trash and other debris from the banks of the creek and also the property's trial system. To help make the occasion fun, there will be cleanup games and other activities, and snacks and the materials needed for the project will be supplied. The participants are advised to wear long pants and sturdy footwear, and all assistance will be appreciated.

To thank the members of the public who come out to help for their support, the organizers will be giving away Corporate Gifts from United by Blue. These will be printed with the organization's Logo Design, which can help to spread the word about its efforts.

This grassroots environmental project is scheduled for November 23. It will begin at 10:00 am, and the staging area will be at the Cobbs Creek Environmental Center.
