Philadelphia plans outdoor holiday fun

A holiday tradition that has been enjoyed by many in previous years will be making its return to the city for 2023, and will add an extra touch of magic to the season.

The neighborhood of Manayunk, which can be found along Main Street in Philadelphia, is hosting its annual Tree Lighting ceremony. It is scheduled for the evening hours, and will help to kick off the 4th annual Manayunk Gets LIT, which is a friendly deporting competition for local businesses in the district.

The public that attend the festivities will be able to cheer when the switch gets thrown on the 30 foot tall evergreen tree, which will be set up in Canal View Park. The schedule includes live musical performances for the crowd to enjoy, and even Santa himself has scheduled a stop at the party. There will be lots of other fun as well, and it will all be free of charge.

Many communities that host holiday celebrations count on both staff and volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly. Documents such as volunteer application Forms can be prepared by local printing services.

The annual Manayunk Tree Lighting Ceremony will delight both the young and the young at heart on Thursday 16 November, and is set to start from 5:30 pm, coming to a close at around 7pm.
