Philadelphia course to explore genealogy for Pennsylvania

Those who plan on doing genealogical research in Pennsylvania may want to make sure they do not miss out on a learning opportunity that will be offered to them in Philadelphia this summer.

Registration is now open to participate in a five-day workshop focused on research in Pennsylvania and the various tools and other resources that can be helpful to those who do so. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) , which is hosting the event, noted that it can be of use to anyone, whether they are experienced in the field of genealogy or are just starting out.

The group will discover how they can access and make use of historical records, and also how they can locate them. A selection of experienced instructors will guide the learning, and there are spaces open for up to 40 individuals. The fee to members of the public who wish to register is $490.00, and a special discount is available for Friends of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

This sort of event offers stacks of information in a relatively small amount of time. Providing registrants with manuals and other learning materials can help to make sure they will walk away from the course with the knowledge they need to find success in their search, and these can be supplied by area providers of printing services.

The HSP is offering its Researching Family in Pennsylvania course starting on July 29. It will be held at 1300 Locust Street in Philadelphia.
