The Jazz Age on the Delaware celebration is taking place this August in Philadelphia, and is a fund raising event to support Glen Foerd, a gilded age mansion.
Vintage retailers will be present to ensure that everyone is dressed the part to celebrate the 1920s. Guests can enjoy food and cocktails inspired by the decade as they take part in lawn games such as croquet. There will also be antique vehicles on display, along with music and dancing. Among the musical performers will be Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society, The Minsky Sisters, and the Red Hot Ramblers with Chelsea Reed.
There will also be a pie contest. Those who wish to participate must register in advance. Pies will be judged in four categories: fruit and sweet, savory, boozy, and most original.
VIP tickets are available, and guests will enjoy butler-served hors d'oeuvres, a raw bar, and premium foods like filet mignon and salmon Wellington. They will also receive a dance lesson and a mansion tour. Non-VIP guests can preorder a picnic for either $14 or $18.
To advertise events like this, Philadelphia flyer printing companies are often asked to provide products.
