Now that summer is almost here, two of the city's most popular outdoor markets are beginning their new seasons.
The 15th annual K&A Marketfest is a monthly open-air market that runs through the summer. Held at Kensington and E. Alleghany, the event is free to attend.
There will be two live bands and a range of children's activities such as a moon bounce, slides, and face painting. There will also be arts and crafts vendors and flea market tables. Spaces are still available for vendors and cost $15 each.
Another monthly event, the Nelson Marketfest, begins its season in late June on Baker Street in downtown Philadelphia. It features musical entertainment on two stages, dance performances, and children's entertainment. There is space for 100 vendors, who will be selling arts and crafts, merchandise, and locally grown produce.
To make residents of Philadelphia aware of these markets, local printing companies may provide organizers with Posters or Flyers to be mailed to residents or posted in public buildings.
The K&A Marketfest will take place beginning June 6 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and also makes appearances in July and August. Admission is free.
The Nelson Marketfest takes place on June 24 from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Admission is a $5 suggested donation from those over the age of 18. To find out more, call 250-354-1909 or visit the Facebook page.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters
