The 48th Polish-American Family Festival and Country Fair is taking place this Labor Day weekend in Doylestown.
The festival will be a celebration of Polish culture and history. It will feature stage shows, musical groups, dance groups, a DJ, a craft show, military re-enactments, and midway rides. Of course, there will also be lots of Polish and American food to enjoy. The craft show is taking place for the 20th year. It will feature such items for sale as quilts, jewelry, toys, dolls, and children's clothing – all with a tie to Polish culture. In the past, the re-enactments have included a parade and various demonstrations.
In addition, there will be Polish Village so visitors can experience life as it is lived in Poland; they can take part in several interactive activities, such as Pisanki, and can learn how to make sauerkraut. Visitors can also buy raffle tickets to win a new vehicle or several cash prizes. Tickets are $5 each or $25 for six.
The family-friendly festival will likely attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Philadelphia. No doubt local printing companies have been asked to provide marketing materials to help let the community know about this upcoming event.
The Polish-American Family Festival and Country Fair will take place at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa from August 31 to September 2, from 12:00pm - 8:00pm each day. Admission is $10, which includes unlimited carnival rides. For more information, call 215-345-0600.
