Art event to bring families together

Art Splash is happening at the Philadelphia Museum of Art all through July and August.

Each week, a different masterpiece in the collection is highlighted and there are specific art activities, programming, and special events for each.

For example, from July 22 to 27, the theme of Art Splash will be ‘Art in the Garden’. The masterpiece of choice is Claude Monet's Water Lilies. There will be several activities surrounding the theme, including the Splash studio, which will give visitors a chance to create art in the same style as Monet, a tour aimed especially at toddlers, and a family art workshop.

Each week will have similar activities. Some of the upcoming themes are ‘Mythological Mischief’, ‘Medieval Worlds’, and ‘Trip around the World’. These special events help to highlight the museum's collection while giving families a chance to spend some quality time together.

To spread the word about programs like this, Philadelphia Print companies are often asked to provide items like Flyers or Signs to inform the public.

Art Splash is taking place until September 1 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Admission to the museum is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $14 for students and youth. The hours of operation are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday, and it is open until until 8:45 pm on Wednesday and Friday. To find out more about this event, call 215-763-8100.
