Top festival returns to Pittsburgh this August

The 17th annual Shadyside Art Festival on Walnut Street is taking place over two days this August. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce.

The festival has been named one of the top 10 in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine, and regularly attracts in the region of 50,000 visitors each year. It is set to feature vendors from all over the country and closer to home. Local stores, boutiques, and restaurants will also be open for business.

Vendors will be selling a variety of arts and crafts, including homemade jewelry, watercolors, ceramics, sculptures, and decorative accessories. All items offered must be original and created by the artist who is selling them. Vendors have until August 20 to apply, and should note that jewelry is no longer needed, although there is a waiting list. A $25 deposit is required and rental is $450 for a 10x10’ booth or $900 for a 10x20’ booth.

Organizers are likely to be using several products to advertise the festival to nearby communities, such as North Versailles, including Brochures and Postcards. Local postcard printing companies are often asked to provide marketing materials in the run-up to events like this.

It will be held from August 23 to 24, and is free to attend. Contact Howard Alan Events at 954-472-3755 for more information.
