To help fund the efforts of the American Legion, a special North Versailles event will put area chili cooks to the test.
The Jeannette American Legion Auxiliary Post #344 will be dishing up food-filled fun when it hosts its 5th annual Chili Cook-Off. The activity is sure to appeal to foodies and is open to the public.
For three hours, contestants in the cook-off will be showing off their personal recipe, and there will be options ranging from mild to super spicy. Anyone who would like to enter the competition can register for $5, and prizes will be presented to the top three recipes. Admission to enter the activity as a "taster" is also $5. Guests will also have a chance to win in a basket raffle.
A friendly culinary competition can be fun for both the contestants and spectators, and organizers often have custom awards prepared to present to the winners. Local Print shops that provide in-house Graphic Design Services will be happy to craft unique trophies and other presentation pieces for such an event.
The 2026 Jeannette American Legion Chili Cook-Off will crown the local Chili Champ this Saturday, February 21.
