While dogs and cats may be popular pets, they are not for everyone, and those who prefer the scaly set may really enjoy spending the day at a North Versailles area event.
The Westmoreland Reptile Expo will include reptiles, amphibians and other exotics, and a wide assortment of items needed to look after then will be on offer as well. It can also be a time for families to learn about these pets as well as their wild counterparts, and at least 1,000 animals will be on site.
The snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles and other species will be on offer along with live plants and feeders. Bioactivity supplies and an assortment of habitat materials can be purchased as well. Admission starts at $5.00, and discounts for children and seniors as well as veterans and currently serving members will be available. The doors will open at 9:00 am.
As the function has been designed as a one-stop shopping experience, the organizers hope it will make it convenient for the public to support the small businesses that set up shop.
