An educational institute near North Versailles has appointed a new community relations coordinator.
Aaron Whigham has taken over the position at Penn State Greater Allegheny, with the goal of helping the post secondary institution to better connect with individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in both the surrounding communities and throughout the state.
Whigham remarked that he hopes to be able to “increase recognition for Penn State Greater Allegheny to the next generation”, and develop partnerships with groups who also want to see it become more engaged with the local community.
The chancellor and chief academic officer of Penn State Greater Allegheny, Andrew Egan, noted that there are many challenges that face college students, especially those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. He went on to say that he feels that Whigham’s energy and leadership style will make achieving a post secondary education a viable and accessible option for more people throughout the region. A company that performs business card printing services will be able to provide Business Cards and any other personalized Stationery items that someone like Whigham will need in his new position.
Whigham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance that he obtained from California University of Pennsylvania. He is also currently attending Penn State World Campus, where he is working on his Master’s degree in organization development and change.
