North Versailles offered personalized jewelry making experience

Couples who plan on tying the knot, or who would like to celebrate their marriage in a special way, may be interested in a North Versailles area crafting class.

The staff at Contemporary Craft have organized a day-long workshop that will introduce the art of making a ring using 14-karat gold. These may be customized, and there is enough room for up to four learners.

The class will offer a deep dive into the process of pouring a gold bar (known as an ingot) and then rolling it into a ring stock. They will also discover how to solder and form their piece, and choose which finish and polish to use to get the look they want. The registration fee is $95, and the cost of materials will depend upon the current market price of gold and also the amount they use. Masks are highly recommended, and accommodations may be available for anyone who needs them for accessibility reasons.

Crafting classes give the public an opportunity to try their hand at a particular hobby. Waivers and documents for the occasion will be on offer at a printer that offers Letterheads and the customized document options.

The venue for this in-person class can be found at 5645 Butler Street. Everyone who Signs up has been asked to arrive by no later than 10:00 am on the scheduled date of December 4.
