A North Versailles business was once again able to engage in a well-loved tradition for another year.
The Able Home Center True Value and Cretas Terrace Volunteer Fire Department joined forces once again to put on a holiday celebration for the 10th year in a row.
Santa was on hand for the event, along with Mrs. Claus, as well as fire Chief Bernard Furby. After giving Santa a ride around the plaza in a ladder fire truck, he was dropped off at the True Value.
The kids in the crowd had a chance to spend some time telling him what they would like to get this year. Chief Furby helped the children get on and off the firetruck so they could have their pictures taken. Along with this, there were drinks and hot dogs available for anyone who wanted one. Stationery printers can help out with such festivities by producing coloring sheets for the kids that they can take home with them.
Store owner George Kline said he was really happy to be able to say “thank you” to his loyal customers in such a festive way. Both his daughters and one of their boyfriends donned elf costumes, and lent their hands to helping keep everything running smoothly.
