North Versailles evening to explore using yeast in the kitchen

When people think of the holidays, cookies and other baked goods often spring to mind, and a local workshop will help North Versailles residents to get their bake on.

Those who register for the activity, which will be hosted at The Kitchen by Vangura in North Huntingdon, will be invited to gain some experience in working with yeast raised breads and other baked goodies. It will be an interactive session, and closed-toed shoes are recommended.

The participants will find out how easy it can be to use yeast in the kitchen, and they will even be able to sample an assortment of treats. Soup and sandwiches will be served, and the menu for the occasion will also include mini nut rolls, German cherry almond paste stollen, and Yukon gold cinnamon rolls. Guests are welcome to bring along a bottle of their favorite wine if they wish.

The host of the class noted that aprons will be supplied, and when it is time to go home, the registrants will each receive Copies of the recipes used. A printing services company can prepare items like these, and will even be able to laminate them to keep them protected from kitchen spills.

The Kitchen by Vangura will be welcoming this introduction to holiday baking on December 12. It will kick off at 6:00 pm, and tickets are $85 each.
