The warmer days of late spring are right around the corner, and they will bring with them an event that may be of interest to those who call North Versailles home.
Picnic in Your Park has been planned for Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, and during the celebration, the attendees will be recognizing the important role the site plays in the community. Those who are interested can choose to attend in person or at home.
The organizers have been hard at work making plans for the occasion, and there will be several new additions for this year. There will be revamped meal choices, as well as an option to pre-order a charcuterie board, and there will also be live entertainment. Those who plan to enjoy the festivities from home may have their orders delivered to them, but the charcuterie selection must be picked up in person. For each meal sold, a donation will be made to local children’s feeding programs.
One of the features that will add a touch of whimsy to the festivities is that everyone is encouraged to wear their most festive hat. A banner that welcomes all the guests can be prepared for this sort of celebration by an area company that supplies banner printing and other marketing services.
