North Versailles area to show support for Easterseals

Originally developed to raise awareness of those living with a disability, Easterseals has grown to be one of the country’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organizations, and its work continues on today through events like the one coming up near North Versailles.

Easterseals will be welcoming one and all for Walk With Me, which will highlight the contributions made by the community's disabled residents. While raising funds to support the organization’s programming, the participants will also be helping to make the area a lot more inclusive, and everyone is welcome.

During the walk and the other fun that will be part of the day, the participants will show those living with a disability that they are valued and that their neighbors stand behind them. People are welcome to walk or roll their way along with a mobility device, and the rest of Kennywood Park will be open for them to enjoy as well. Anyone interested can get involved as part of a team or on their own.

One of the goals of a walk or run is often to increase public awareness about a particular issue. A banner printing company can prepare attention-grabbing signage, Posters, Banners and other materials, as well as Corporate Gifts to present to the volunteers to thank them for their help.

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania’s Walk With Me day is set for Saturday, May 18, with registration beginning at 8:00 am. It will take place at 4800 Kennywood Boulevard in West Mifflin.
