Horror movie and pop culture fans alike may want to be part of an activity that will celebrate the 45th anniversary of what has come to be a cult classic next summer, right back where it all began.
In 1978, “Dawn of the Dead” first hit movie theaters, and it went on to spawn an entire series by George A. Romero. It was filmed in the North Versailles area’s Monroeville Mall, and the Living Dead Weekend will celebrate its anniversary.
The festival will see members of the public – as well as actors, crew, and others who helped to make the original film – come together to enjoy the movies and the impact they had on the wider culture. There will be official merchandise available for purchase, as well as meet and greets, photo ops, and a chance to interact with some of the original “zombies.” Single-day, three-day, and VIP passes are all available to choose from.
Movie fans may really enjoy an opportunity to participate in an event that will be all about their favorite flick. A poster printing company will be happy to prepare a variety of items to aid in marketing a special occasion to the public.
