Luncheon to honor community leaders

The Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual ROCs (Recognizing Organizations and Companies that Shine) awards luncheon in just over a week’s time.

There will be plenty of time for local business and community leaders to network before, during and after lunch, and it is likely that the winners of these awards will receive special attention from their peers. The keynote speaker during lunch will be Bill Strickland from the Manchester Bidwell Corporation, who will likely discuss his book ‘Making the Impossible Possible’.

There will be three awards handed out: Business Leader of the Year, Community Impact, and Chamber Member of the Year.

Guests are also asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the Spirit of Christmas, Inc. This organization helps to provide toys and other holiday gifts to disadvantaged families in Allegheny County.

People attending this event are sure to come from all over the county, including North Versailles. No doubt many of them will be placing a new business card printing order in advance.

The ROCs Awards luncheon is being held at the Double Tree Hotel Monroeville on December 4 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce members and $60 for non-members. Contact the chamber at 412-856-0622 to find out more about this event.
