The 12th annual Tekko convention is taking place over three days this April, and is a presentation of the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society.
The convention is dedicated to anime, manga, video games, and cosplay. It will feature special guests, including voiceover artists Jamie Marchi, J. Michael Tatum, and Jerry Jewell. Gatherers will be entertained by a masquerade, dance contest, Lolita fashion show, and a manga library. There are also set to be panel discussions, workshops, and a Japanese rock (or J-Rock) concert.
In addition, guests can attend the Enchanted Eden lunch. This is a formal event requiring a dress code of black tie, Lolita or Ouji/Aristocrat costumes. Tickets are $50 each.
A main draw at conventions such as this is the dealer's room, and this will be no different. A number of vendors will be on hand to sell items such as graphic novels, videos, games, photographs, and Books.
This event will likely draw fans from all over the area, including North Versailles Township. Work may be spread by the distribution of Posters and Flyers provided by local Stationery printers.
Tekko 2015 is being held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from April 16 to 19. Tickets are $50 for all three days for adults and $25 for children between the ages of 7 and 12, while younger children are admitted free of charge.
