After overcoming a few stumbling blocks, the new healthcare facility for veterans is now under construction in Butler on North Duffy Road.
The proposed $100m VA facility has encountered delays on the road to its groundbreaking. Although Cambridge Healthcare Solutions PA is the developer of the 46-acre site it purchased for the purpose, another company, Westar Development Corp., was leased to construct the facility in 2013.
Originally, Cambridge was awarded the project, but after Oxford Development filled a complaint with the Government Accountability office, bidding was reopened. Oxford, along with another three developers, lost this second round of bidding to Westar.
Westar clear cut a site next to the Butler Township VA campus at Deshon Woods, but its lease was canceled and the contract awarded back to Cambridge. It appears the legal skirmishes are over for now and VA’s first choice of Cambridge Healthcare Solutions PA has the two-decade lease for the facility.
Moreover, the question of what address Stationery printers will be using on the new healthcare center's letterhead and digital Business Cards has been resolved.
According to a statement issued by its CEO, Andrew J. Czekai, Cambridge is ready to start work in September, weather permitting. The new healthcare center will be about 1½ miles from the VA’s main campus in Butler on what was formerly farmland.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery
