Calling all Butler barbecue fans

Barbecue lovers from Butler and the surrounding area are invited to bring along their best recipe and come out to this year’s Egg Fest 2016.

The event

, which will feature food prepared using Big Green Egg barbecues, is expected to draw participants from a wide area, as it is the only such function in the whole of the western part of the state. Sponsored by Hearth & Home Furnishings, it will feature between 20 and 25 of the oval outdoor grills that ca be used by those who participate to prepare their dishes.

A wide variety of food will be created for the public to sample and enjoy, and according to the event’s website, it is recommended to each person who come out that they should
“come hungry and don’t forget to pace yourself!”

Along with the opportunity to enjoy the feast, the Green Eggs that the outdoor chefs use will be available for purchase on a first come first served basis. Festive Banners for events such as this can be produced by a printer.

Egg Fest 2016 will take place on June 25th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm in Moraine State Park. Admission for cooks is free, and for those who will be sampling the fruits of their labor, it will be $15.00. Further details and a chance to register are available on the event’s website.
