Butler to kick off spring with equipment auction

A Butler event is set to connect business owners, farmers, and other interested individuals with a collection of gently used equipment.

The Butler Farm Show will serve as the location for the Annual Spring Lawn and Garden Consignment Auction, which is scheduled for late April. It is one of the region's largest agricultural equipment auctions.

The items on the auction block will be varied, and at least two ultralight airplanes and a gooseneck trailer have already been added to the list. Heavy machinery, farm equipment, trucks, trailers, farm tractors, garden tractors, and other agricultural items will all be on offer as well. The activity will be hosted by Croll's Mills Auction Service, and its listing explains that, as the activity will be heavily marketed in the lead-up to its scheduled date, anyone interested may want to consign their items well in advance.

Attending an auction in the spring is common practice for many farmers, as they make it possible to purchase quality equipment at a reduced price.
