Butler boasts a rich history, and both locals and visitors are invited to attend an event that will put this front and center.
Butler County Tourism has scheduled History Day for late June, and it will offer a tour of over 200 years of history. The list of participating locations is varied, and those who take part may visit as many as they wish.
Participants will be able to visit nine participating locations, and these range from the Jennings Environmental Education Center Foltz School to Historic Harmony-Harmony Museum. To add even more fun to the experience, History Day Passports will be distributed at each of the venues, and participants can request to have them stamped at each place they visit. Those who collect at least three Stamps can have their name entered in a draw for a history-themed prize.
Residents often appreciate the chance to learn more about the history of their hometown, and an organized event offers them a way to do so. Promotional Products and other premiums can be prepared for an activity by area printing services companies.
Butler County will be shining a spotlight on the area’s history on Saturday, June 29. Its History Day initiative will run from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and full listing of the participating venues can be found on its website.
