Butler presentation to introduce latest legal system updates

The legal system is constantly evolving, and Pennsylvania has recently updated its sentencing guidelines. This will be the 5th Amendment of the 7th Addition, and it will be presented to those who are employed in the legal system in and around Butler as part of an upcoming free event.

The Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing will be hosting a two-hour-long presentation that will introduce the latest adjustments to the state’s sentencing guidelines, risk assessment instruments, and other legislation that has been recently enacted. The participants may be able to receive continuing education credits, and the function is intended for attorneys, judges, law clerks, parole officers, and other personnel of the court.

The presentation will explore these newly updated legislative points and procedures, and once the formal presentation is over, the attendees will be welcome to stay behind and engage in some less formal conversations about the topics reviewed. The goal is for local legal firms and other establishments to incorporate these changes into their practices in as smooth a way as possible.

Providing Copies of the updated laws and legislation to the attendees can be an important piece of planning for this style of function. Stationery printers can provide these, and they can even bind them, using a budget-friendly technique such as comb binding.

The Butler County Criminal Justice Advisory Board encourages all those who work in the local legal system to attend this learning opportunity. It will be on offer on April 29 at 227 West Cunningham Street.
