Butler library plans day of gaming fun

A Butler winter may feel long, but an event is set to bring some fun to this frosty time of the year.

The Butler Area Public Library has become a community hub, and it has organized a day that will be all about having fun. Dubbed “Butler Area Library Game Day,” it will give local individuals and families alike a chance to try out some new ways to play and enjoy one another’s company, and there will be an assortment of activities on offer.

The participants in the day will be invited to try their hand at playing the Star Wars Outer Rim board game as well as a Star Wars Miniatures game, and Moonrakers board game will also be set up. A paint and take will be on offer free of charge, and a local tabletop gaming guild will be on hand. Dungeons and Dragons fans will find a game running on site to join in, and a food and coffee station is in the works as well.

Libraries often serve as community centers, hosting workshops and activities for the public. A poster printing company can aid in getting the word out about these activities.

This chance to bring some fun to a chilly Butler January day is scheduled for January 21. It will be kicking off at 12:00 pm.
