Butler fall celebration to have Halloween theme

Butler County is home to some of the state's top green spaces, and one of those will be acting as the location for a special day of fall fun for families.

Alameda Park will be the venue for the Monster Mile Family Walk, which will depart from the Masonic Shelter and follow a route that heads back to the Odd Fellow Loop. Families with younger children or babies are encouraged to bring along a wagon or stroller to help transport their little ones from one stop to the next, and wheelchairs and other mobility devices are welcome.

The plans for the afternoon will offer four different stations for the families to stop at, and at each, they will find a different craft or other hands-on activity. An inflatable will be on site to help add to the excitement, and there will also be candy stops along the route. Tickets are available now, and they are $7 for each child between the ages of two to ten.

Many communities choose to organize special events in honor of the Halloween season. Banner printing services for these occasions will be available at area printers.

The Monster Mile Family Walk will be on offer at Butler's Alameda Park on October 15. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive by 12:00 pm, and the function is geared towards those with younger kids.
