A Butler workshop will offer an introduction to the idea of facial recognition, and those who currently hold a Criminal History user security role, and are an investigator or detective with their respective agency, are welcome to apply to participate.
The technology, which goes by the name “The Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Facial Recognition Software” can be used by police and others in the law enforcement sector to make analysis and comparison of digital images of people's faces. This can be a useful investigative tool, and while the training is free, those who register are expected to be on site for the event.
The class, which is scheduled to take approximately four hours to complete, will teach the basics involved in utilizing the facial recognition software to develop a candidate during an investigation. The students will discover how they can use the program to compare individuals who have similar facial characteristics, and they can also ask questions and share their department’s own best practices.
This workshop is set to begin at 9:00 am sharp, and it will be offer at 227 West Cunningham Street in Butler. Training manuals, certificates of completion, and promotional Pens are just a sample of the items a professional printer can prepare for this sort of function.
