Butler asked to contribute to donation drive
This July and August, a Butler community service group will be collecting school supplies for families in need, and everyone has been asked to consider making a generous donation.
The team at Butler YMCA will be running its summer school supplies drive, and contributions may be dropped off at the venue’s front desk. They will be collected and distributed through the organization’s annual Back-to-School Backpack and Supplies Giveaway.
Anyone who is interested in contributing is asked to provide new, packaged items, and a list of what’s most in demand has been prepared to make it easier for the community to help. These range from pens and pencils to index cards, binders, and glue. The contribution of backpacks will also be appreciated, and the materials will be distributed to students at the start of the upcoming academic year.
