During the Industrial Revolution, steam became an important source of power for farm machinery, and a Butler area event will revisit those days gone by.
Those who attend the Portersville Steam Summer show will be able to learn all about how steam was once used to power a variety of equipment and machinery. Children age 11 and under will be allowed to enter free of charge.
The function will be showcasing everything from working steam-powered engines to farm equipment such as tractors, threshers and other vehicles, and there will also be opportunities to view a cider press, tractor pulls, a vintage log home, and a sawmill in operation. Food can be purchased on site by the ticket holders, and there will also be crafts and other handmade items to browse through and buy.
Themed Promotional Products such as T-shirts, keychains, Postcards, and magnets are often sold as fundraising items during a festival or other function like this one. A printer will have a wide selection to choose from, with options on offer for almost any budget.
This trip back in time to the age of steam will be welcoming visitors from Thursday, August 4 until Sunday, August 7 at the Show Grounds in Portersville. General admission to the celebration for those over 11 is $5 each.
