Royalty to visit Lancaster

A member of the nobility is coming to Lancaster, and fans can look forward to a visit from a duke.

The duke in question is Nukem, as voiced by Jon St. John, who is the voice actor behind the popular hero of the “Duke Nukem” series of video games. St. John will be coming to O'Huids to make Halloween special for fans, and will be on hand for most of the afternoon and evening, which begins with a late lunch and ends with a tequila tasting.

At the luncheon, fans will have a chance to ask St. John anything they like at a question-and-answer session, after which they are invited to sample a new tequila concoction with a Duke Nukem theme, developed by O'Huid's Stephen Hood.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume to earn extra treats and goodies, and to remain in the pub after St. John's events to take part in a costume contest. Dressing like Duke Nukem himself will win extra points. The pub will also have a Duke Swag Raffle, so anyone interested in winning cool Duke Nukem goodies should buy a raffle ticket at the event.

A day with the Duke and the “Hail to the King” Tequila Tasting is set for October 24. The luncheon will begin at 4:00 pm, with the Tequila Tasting at 6:00 pm. The event is limited to those 21 and over, and ID is required. Flyer printing can be used to provide publicity handouts for events like this.
