A nature walk will take Lancaster residents into a forest of reds, yellows, oranges, and browns, bringing participants into closer contact with the outdoors.
The Fall Foliage Series Hike, presented by the Fairfield County Parks District, is planning the route and opening registration for a walk through a foliage-filled forest, and Lancaster residents are encouraged to sign up. Participants will learn how to identify different types of trees by examining their leaves, as well as the other changes that occur with trees when the leaves begin to change color.
The foliage hike will be the third in a series of five hikes led by the Fairfield County Parks District. It’s an appropriate event for nature lovers of all ages, though some parts of the trail are rocky, making them poorly-suited for strollers and wagons. Brochure printing can provide more information and insights to participants on nature walks like this, enhancing the learning experience.
Hikers will need to bring their own drinking water for hydration, and some individuals may want to bring insect repellent to ward off mosquitoes and other pests. Well-mannered pets are also welcome to join their owners on the hike, though they’re not allowed into the nature center.
The hike will be held at Mambourg Park in Lancaster on Saturday, October 25th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Interested parties can secure their reservations online.
