Pickleball tournament welcomes competitors to Lancaster

Pickleball players and enthusiasts will want to make a note in their Journals for next month, as a tournament and fundraiser are in the works in Lancaster.

The 2nd Annual Sherman Rotary Pickleball Tournament, which is being organized by the Lancaster-Sherman Rotary Club, will open the doors for competition to showcase the best talent in the area while raising money for the community. This year’s tournament will be held indoors to provide respite from the summer heat in central Ohio.

Interested parties can sign up in one of several categories to compete with individuals with similar skill and experience levels. The tournament is open to the entire community, and beginners are welcome to attend and give it a try. Flyer printing is an effective way to spread the word about such tournaments around the town through grassroots methods.

The organizers are aiming to create a friendly atmosphere to make the tournament as inclusive as possible while growing the sport of pickleball. The competition will be one of the most significant events in the Lancaster area during the summer. Participants can sign up and purchase a jersey to commemorate their participation in the tournament.

The competition will be held at the Fisher Catholic High School Gymnasium in Lancaster on Saturday, June 14, from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM. Registration is $87 per doubles team online.
