New restaurant now open in Lancaster
The Lancaster Marriott, located in the city's downtown, has a new restaurant for foodies to enjoy.
An eatery named Plough has moved into the hotel, taking over the former Penn Square Grille space. In a sort of game of musical premises, Penn Square Grille moved to the lobby of the hotel while its old space was renovated for Plough. Once Plough moved in, the Grille closed, and another renovation will take place to transform that space back into a lobby. It's anticipated that the work should take approximately one month. As part of the lobby renovation, work is now being done on a Starbucks that should open in October.
Plough features seating for almost 200, including at the restaurant's sizable oval bar. There is a private dining room as well as roomy booths, and an outdoor patio that will be open for business soon. There are 60 employees at the restaurant, which has as its centerpiece a glassed-in kitchen that allows customers to watch the work of the kitchen staff. The menu features classic American cuisine.
The addition of Plough to the hotel is part of a recent renovation of the entire complex, an effort that cost almost $40 million. The renovation including opening a new tower twelve stories high, which features a rooftop bar seating 90, called The Exchange. Logo design can be used to create a new symbol for businesses like this.
