Med center to present health seminar

A health seminar will be held for residents of Lancaster this June.

The event focuses on preventing and managing diabetes. This information will be provided by health experts and professionals such as Stephanie VanHorn and Dr. Dylan Ekstrand. He is a registered practitioner, while Stephanie VanHorn currently serves as the coordinator and manager of the Diabetes Self-Management and Education Program. She will offer tips on management of diet through meal planning and adjusting eating habits.

On the other hand, Dr. Ekstrand will provide details on the symptoms of diabetes, as well as the importance of regulating blood sugar for improved health.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a free health screening by the Robert K. Fox YMCA. All patrons will also receive a free seven-day pass to the facility.

This event is free to attend for all patrons, but there is a limit to the number of people that may attend. The medical center requires medical grade masks for those who are able to attend. Registration for the event ends on June 28.
