Animé BOP!, a chamber music ensemble, is coming to the area, where the trio will perform as part of the Lancaster Chamber Music Series.
Profits from the series go to support the Cameo League, which in turn supports the Lancaster Festival, an annual 10-day celebration that honors the arts, especially music.
The festival was founded in 1984, first with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra part of the event. Currently, it has the Lancaster Festival Orchestra in residence.
The trio devotes its efforts to performing music in a range of styles, as well as using arrangements and commissions to find new works. The performers are Robert Frankenberry, the pianist; Linda Morton Fisher, a bassoonist; and Robin Driscoll, who plays the oboe.
Among the pieces of the schedule for the Lancaster concert are Handel's ‘Adagio’, Donizetti's famous aria ‘Una Furtiva Lagrima’, and Poulenc's ‘Trio’.
Animé BOP! will appear February 26 at 4 pm in the Lancaster Country Club. Doors open at 3pm, and a dinner that complements the program will be served at 6pm, after the concert. The club is located in Lancaster, at 3100 Country Club Road.
The organizers of the concert series could work with brochure printers to create Booklets for distribution at the event, giving the musicians' biographies as well as offering detailed information about the works they play.Get a Free Quote for Booklets
