Lancaster is bringing back its annual holiday celebration in early December.
Winterfest & Tree Lighting is a festival that gives people of any age a day of fun and cozy experiences, sprinkled with some Christmas magic. This year’s festivities will mark the 12th edition of the event.
Santa is going to be around to speak to visitors, and horse-drawn carriages will be offering free rides. There will also be family-oriented activities and holiday tunes flowing, and attendees can give the scavenger hunt a go.
Once dusk hits, the tree ceremony will get underway. This will see the town’s tree come to life with bright and colorful Christmas lights.
Both Winterfest and the lighting of the tree are free to partake in. As the date approaches, more details about the event will be made available, so those interested can turn to Destination Downtown Lancaster’s website for information as it is released.
At about 4:45pm, Ohio Magazine will be presenting Lancaster with the award for the Best Hometown. This will be taking place at The Bandstand. Quite often, towns will use the method of flyer printing as one of their avenues of promotion for their celebrations and activities.
The event is scheduled to run between the hours of 12:00pm and 5:30pm, and the date will be the 2nd of December.
