Risch Home Health Care is moving, although it is remaining in Lancaster.
The company is relocating from Columbus Street to West Fair Avenue. Bob Bradford, who owns Risch, says the change is due to the way healthcare systems work. Risch current works from three different buildings, so moving to one location will bring workers nearer to their jobs.
Bradford also notes that many clients have respiratory difficulties, making it difficult for them to get to the office. The new location's door is closer to the street, and access is easier for people with breathing problems.
In addition, according to Bradford, the company simply wanted a change, having been on Columbus Street for 31 years. It had renovated the space twice, and the old location was becoming increasingly expensive to operate.
Risch specializes in lift chairs, walkers, power wheelchairs, rehabilitation and respiratory equipment, and other products and services people need if they have medical problems but wish to live at home. The firm’s mission is to keep people at home as long as possible, which most prefer. With 10,000 people turn 65 daily, it is not possible for everyone to go into a nursing home.
Bradford might consider working with brochure printers on a booklet to mail to residents in the local area, announcing the move and listing the equipment and services Risch provides.
