Fun festival scheduled in Lancaster

An event is set to take place in Lancaster that will be enjoyable and help a good cause at the same time.

Amanda's Magical Events is organizing and hosting the upcoming 2020 Holly Jolly Vendor Fair, which will help people do some of their holiday shopping and support small, local businesses. The fair is also partnering with a great organization to help children.

Although arrangements are still being finalized, and there is room for more vendors, a look at previous events gives people an idea of what they might find this year. Products included boutique clothing; handmade candy; vintage décor; jellies, jams, and dips; and jewelry. Companies that have participated include Scentsy, and Color Street.

The fair organizers have joined with Cincinnati Toys for Tots, an effort run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, to collect toys for local children in need. The drive is conducted all across the country, and has been a fixture of the holidays since 1947. It was begun by Bill Hendricks, a Major in the Reserves, and is still under their purview, as the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a recognized charity.

The fair, which is free, will be held December 5, 2020, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Warren County Fairgrounds Welcome Hall. Masks will be required for everyone, vendors and shoppers alike, and social distances must be maintained. The organizers will have hand sanitizer stations throughout the hall. Banner printing can provide signage for large events like this.
