Lancaster, Ohio will host a marathon this November.
The event is the Alley Trail Marathon, and it takes place along the scenic route of the Alley Park. The run will consist of two distinct events – a half marathon and a full marathon. Each will use the same route. The track is design with both man-made and natural structures, having some hilly areas while others are flatter. Those running will have eight hours to complete the course, which has six loops for the half marathon, and twelve loops for the full. There will be refreshment stations at the starting line of the event.
Runners who perform will receive prizes at the race’s conclusion. First place for the full marathon will receive $250, while second receives $150, and third takes $75. The half marathon winner receives $150, while $75 goes to second place and $50 to third. All residents are welcome to attempt the trail.
The cost for registration is $50, and an additional $4.30 for signup. Persons may register on the event’s website.
