Virtual construction safety training to aid Lindenhurst workers

Lindenhurst construction workers may be interested to learn that Able Safety Consulting is holding a virtual 30-Hour OSHA Construction Training course this March.

The course will provide a comprehensive review of important Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, policies, and procedures.

Able Safety Consulting offers construction site safety training programs through both in-person and online options. The 30-Hour OSHA Construction Training course will provide students with foundational knowledge about the safety and health principles relating to construction sites. Originally, the course was aimed at supervisors, but after the enactment of local law 196 requiring workers to have 30 hours of safety training, the course was opened to most construction workers.

In the course, students will learn to identify the causes of accidents and fatalities in the worksite, as well as how to prevent such incidents. The class will also demystify the equipment, materials, and processes used on site. Free handbooks and study guides are included in the price of the course, so organizers may choose to utilize to Stationery printers to prepare the educational materials.

The OSHA course is scheduled for Monday, March 15 through Thursday, March 18, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. It will be hosted as a live web conference, so students are required to have web camera and microphone to participate. The class is $375, and those interested can visit the organizer’s website to register.
