Lindenhurst comic enthusiasts should note that the Long Island (LI) Tropic Con has been in full swing since early July and will be in town for four more dates in August.
Hosted by El Churro Entertainment Inc., the Long Island Tropic Con is a pop-culture festival in the form of an outdoor summer market. There will be over 120 booths present, manned by local vendors and artists. Some examples of what attendees will encounter at the market are pop culture artwork, comic Books, and video games. Each day will feature different vendors and booths, so no one day will be the same. Guests will also be treated to live music and performances, as well as local food options.
At conventions like this, vendors often include Business Cards at their booths for guests to pick up if interested.
The festival will take place on two weekends next month. The first weekend will be August 14 and 15, while the second will be August 28 and 29. A single-day admission ticket will cost for $3, while a weekend pass will be $5. A summer pass can be purchased for $15. Children 12 and under are invited to the convention for free.
The LI Tropic Con will take place at Sunrise Mall at 1 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa, just minutes from Lindenhurst.
