The Blue Point Brewery will host the event, which celebrates Long Island's cask ale culture. For the past 16 years, the brewery has been holding the event in April, but it was postponed following the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
Mark Burford, Blue Point Brewery founder, explained:
"The well-being of our esteemed attendees and participating breweries is our concern. After much thought, Blue Point decided to postpone the festival until late into the year. Anyone who had purchased tickets for the slated date, April 18, will be refunded.”
It is an all-adult affair, and ticket prices are $65 for general admissions and $15 for designated drivers. The ticket gives participants access to taste a wide range of pints from over 100 brewing companies, some of which are local while others are from further afield. Beer lovers also have an opportunity to enjoy an exclusive encounter with Blue Point's Cask Pro, Jim Richards.
The music parade at the parking lot will feature bagpipers and some celebrated bands. Ernie and the Band, Side Saddle, and the Rebirth Brass Band are some of the acts attendees can expect. There will be food trucks, gifts, and Promotional Products.
The Annual Cask Ales Festival will be held on November 17.
