The Long Island Health Collaborative will be organizing a walking activity this November at Babylon Town Park in Lindenhurst.
Locals interested in participating in healthy activities can join the Long Island Health Collaborative in their monthly Walk with a Doc event. The gathering aims to get people active by providing the motivation and venue for a walking excursion. Attendees will be joined by Dr. Donato Balsamo and other professionals in healthcare. There will also be brief informational talk about health during the event.
The Long Island Health Collaborative is a group that consists of county health departments, health care providers, and community organizations. Their mission is to better the health of New York residents through hosting events such as Walk With a Doc. The group receives its funding from the New York State Department of Health. Organizations that host local gatherings like this can use printing services to make Posters to hang in places such as recreation centers.
The Walk With a Doc event is held on the last Sunday of every month at the same time and location. Guests can go to Babylon Town Park on November 24 at 10:00 am to participate in the walking activity. There is no fee to join in the walk, and attendees are not required to pre-register before the event. All guests should wear appropriate footwear for the activity.
