Next month, the Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum in nearby Farmingdale will host a butterfly release event for the community to highlight the importance of butterflies to the local ecology.
The Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum is a memorial park and cemetery located in the nearby Farmingdale, just five miles from Lindenhurst. By achieving Level II Accredited Arboretum status, its gardens and grounds have also become a welcoming respite for living members of the community. The arboretum frequently hosts education programs and events aimed at informing people of environmental issues, such as the Pinelawn Memorial Park Butterfly Release event in July.
The butterfly release event will feature not only the release of the Painted Lady butterflies into the park’s gardens, but it will also include arts and crafts and an interactive presentation about the importance of the butterflies to the environment. The whole family will find something to enjoy at the event, which will be divided into three separate one-hour sessions.
Brochure printing is often useful for such events as it gives organizers an effective way to compile and distribute information.
The Pinelawn Memorial Park Butterfly Release will happen on July 18, with three sessions at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. It will take place at the Pinelawn's Louis Natalie Mall. The event is free to the public.
