Shutter Island LI will hold the 1920s & Victorian-Themed Photoshoot Meetup in Lindenhurst next month for anyone interested in dressing up in their best 1920s or Victorian-era fashion and striking a pose for the camera.
Shutter Island LI is a local photo collective community that specializes in alternative photography shoots dealing with all things vintage, macabre, novel, and otherworldly. The photo community hosts meetups for fellow photographers and models to gather and collaborate on photo shoots together. These meetups may take the form of different themed events, such as the Victorian-themed Photoshoot happening in January.
Organizers invite interested parties to attend a Victorian-inspired photoshoot that captures the elegance of the Victorian era and the flair of the 1920s. Photographers will be inspired by the period architecture, vintage fashion, and mystique of these two time periods. For models, the dress code will be either attire fitting the Victorian era between 1837 and 1901, such as corsets, lace, top hats, and long dresses, or 1920s Great Gatsby style, such as pinstripes, beaded gowns, and Flapper dresses.
Community meetups can lend themselves to networking opportunities, which attendees may take advantage of by bringing Business Cards to hand out.
