Fans of mead can experience the Long Island Mead Festival at the Lindenhurst Town Square and Gazebo in New York next month.
The Long Island Mead Festival invites those old enough to drink to join an event that allows attendees to sample beverages from local and national meaderies. There will be numerous businesses attending the festival, including meaderies such as Remarkable Liquids Distribution, Meridian Hive, and Haymaker Meadery. Guests can vote for their favorite drinks during the home mead-making competition.
Those who come to the event can enjoy live music in addition to checking out different on-site food trucks. The event will feature the Long Island Beekeeping Society and will hold live demonstrations for attendees to view during the festival. Sandt’s Honey will also be selling its natural products. The Long Island Mead Festival will be held on Saturday, August 3, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. General admission can be purchased for $35 per person, which will allow guests to sample various meads from attending vendors.
