The Lindenhurst Memorial Library will be inviting Mind-Body-Spirits Martial Arts to teach a course this March on women’s self-defense.
Any women interested in learning how to defend themselves from attackers can join the Women’s Self-Defense Workshop. The course will provide attendees with an hour of training that can be used to protect women from dangerous situations. The main goal of the defense workshop is to inspire students to become empowered through the use of traditional martial arts techniques, while also advocating for a world focused on respect and harmony.
Grand Master Gene Perceval will be the instructor for the workshop. Perceval has over 50 years of teaching experience with Mind-Body-Spirit Martial Arts. The organization has numerous classes that are taught throughout New York, informing the public about how to use martial arts. Perceval has also taught business groups self-defense lessons. Those who offer defense courses like this can use poster printing for advertising the class at community venues.
The Women’s Self-Defense Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 12 from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm. The lesson will cost students $5 each to participate. Anyone interested in attending must register with the Lindenhurst Memorial Library in advance. Those who want to stay updated on the upcoming self-defense courses offered by Mind-Body-Spirit Martial Arts can check out the online event calendar.
