Lindenhurst to hold annual photographers' spring social

This April, Photographers’ Federation of Long Island (PFLI) will hold its annual spring festival, the Spring Spectacular, in Lindenhurst to bring together the photography community across Long Island.

The PFIL was conceived in the 1970s by Leonard Victor, a Newsday photographer, to connect dedicated professionals across Long Island in a supportive network to exchange technique, compete in friendly competitions, and make new connections and friendships. The PFIL also hosts various special events throughout the year, such as April’s spring festival.

The event will feature two main presentations relating to the field of photography. The first presentation will be from Gabe Biederman and is entitled Photographing the National Parks. The second presentation will be from Ron Wyatt, who will entertain the audience with anecdotes from his time shooting action photos at official sporting events. There will also be vendors set up with special offers on photography-related gear. The event is being sponsored by B&H Photo.

Professional events such as this may be sponsored by various local businesses that may offer Promotional Products in event giveaways in exchange for free advertising in the community.

The photography spring festival will be held on Sunday, April 21 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. It will take place at the Firemans' Pavillion, which is located at 555 Heling Boulevard. General admission per person is $33.85.
